A scenic drive along the Alpine Way toward Thredbo will take you to Tom Groggin Station, home to Jack Riley. Jack's life was the basis for Banjo Paterson's epic poem 'The Man from Snowy River'. From Tom Groggin to Thredbo, you will often see the famed wild 'brumby' horses. Horse riding has always been an important part of Khancoban's history.
